How it works
AI clipping tool: turn long videos into vertical clips
Paste a YouTube link or upload your own video, and Calliope cuts it into ready to post vertical clips (1080×1920) with captions, a hook headline and B-roll. It works with podcasts, streams, interviews and full matches.
How it works
- Paste a YouTube link (videos up to 10 hours) or upload an MP4, MOV or WEBM.
- Pick the range to scan, up to 2 hours per batch, and how many clips you want, up to 10.
- Choose Smart, which finds the strongest moments and frames the speaker, or Fast, which splits the range into equal parts.
- Generate. Every clip comes out vertical, with captions in the spoken language and a hook headline for the first 5 seconds.
- Open any clip in the editor to add a split screen, switch between 20 caption styles, follow a face or add stock and AI B-roll, then export.
Pricing
Smart clips cost 4 credits per minute of the range you scan (2 on the Creator plan), whether you get one clip or ten. Fast clips and Captions only are unlimited on every paid plan, from $39 a month. See pricing.
FAQ
Can I clip someone else's video?
Only if you have the rights or the creator's permission. Clipping campaigns, where creators pay you for every 1,000 views, give you that permission.
Which languages are supported?
The speech language is detected automatically, so the captions come out in the language that is spoken. You can also pick it by hand.
Can I edit the clips?
Yes. Every clip is a normal timeline in the Calliope editor, with the headline, captions, B-roll and sound effects on their own tracks.
How do I make money with my clips?
Post them on your own accounts, or join clipping campaigns that pay per 1,000 views. The full guide comes with a free Master Prompt. Read the clipping guide.
