Video Style Extraction Policy

2. What Is NOT Allowed

• Using this feature to reproduce, redistribute, or publicly display any copyrighted content from the source video.
• Uploading or linking a video that you do not own and are not authorized to use.
• Extracting styles from videos you do not have permission to reference (e.g., private or restricted content obtained through unauthorized means).
• Using extracted references to create content that infringes on trademarks, logos, brand identity, or the likeness of identifiable individuals without consent.
• Circumventing geographic, age, or access restrictions to process videos not available to you.

3. Your Responsibility

By using this feature, you confirm that:

• You own the video you upload or link, or you have every right, license, consent and release needed to use it as a visual style reference, including from the people who appear or speak in it.
• You will not use the extracted style or screenshots to infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
• You understand that generated prompts are intended to abstract reusable image and motion characteristics rather than reproduce the original video.
• You will review generated prompts and remove any names, brands, logos, text, likenesses, or other protected elements before use.
• You accept full responsibility for how you use the generated template and any content created from it.

4. Platform Terms of Service

The terms of each platform we accept links from govern how content on it may be accessed and used:

• YouTube terms
• TikTok terms
• Instagram terms
• Facebook terms
• X terms
• LinkedIn terms

This feature is designed to analyze visual and motion style without republishing or redistributing the source video. By submitting a link or a file, you authorize Calliope to access and temporarily process that video on your behalf and remain responsible for ensuring your use complies with the terms of the platform that hosts it and with all applicable laws.

5. Data Handling

• Fewer than 10 screenshots may be generated and retained as references in your private project storage.
• Up to the first 10 minutes of the source video may be temporarily sent to Google's paid Gemini API for video style analysis.
• Calliope deletes its temporary video copy and requests deletion of the processing file it sent to that API when analysis ends, including after failures where technically possible.
• Google's Files API otherwise deletes files sent to it automatically within 48 hours and may retain limited request data for safety, abuse prevention, or legal compliance under its paid-service terms.
• A video you upload in the app is stored privately in your account while it is analyzed and is deleted when the analysis completes successfully. If the analysis fails, it stays in your private project storage so you can retry. A video you upload through the API stays in your private storage until you delete it. You can delete your uploads at any time.
• Generated image and video style prompts, reference screenshots, and technical usage metadata are retained with your project or job under our normal retention practices.

6. Limitation of Liability

Calliope AI Content Automation LLC provides this feature "as is" and disclaims all liability arising from your use of extracted styles, screenshots, or any content generated using them. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of this feature.
